City To Summit Challenge 2022
Take the roads and the gravel from Aberdeen's brand new Greyhope Bay Centre along Royal Deeside up through Glen Tanar to the summit of Scotland's most easterly Munro - Mount Keen. Join us for a combination of cycling and hiking for Scottish Adventure's 'City To Summit Challenge 2022'

About the Event
An exciting big day out in the north east to challange your riding and hiking skills taking you from the North Sea to Scotland's most easterly Munro - Mount Keen.Â
You will depart from Aberdeen's brand new dolphin viewing centre, cafe, education and community space at the silver city's Torry Battery on the cliffs of the North Sea and head along the world-famous Deeside Way to the gateway to the Cairngorms at Glen Taner estate.Â
We will see you at our lower control point near Glen Tanar car park where refreshements and a bike mechanic will be on hand to keep you rolling up the double-track path the our upper controll point near the summit of Mount Keen. Ditch the bike with our Event Marshalls and yomp to the top and collect your unique event souvenier before descending one of the most scenic descents all the way back to Greyhope Bay.Â
We will hear all about your epic challenging day out when you cross the finish line at Greyhope Bay just in time for some finishers refreshements and entertainment.Â

CHALLENGE OPTIONS
Part of the Scottish Adventure aims (#1) is to Enable Adventure so we've come up with two options to ensure that everyone feels suitably challenged by their day out.
- Full Option (Ride & Hike) (152km, 1,750m) - Ride from Greyhope Bay via the lower control point to the upper control point 2.5km from the summit (https://what3words.com/riverside.painters.straws) and hike to the Summit of Mount Keen (https://what3words.com/toast.caused.wishing) then head back to Greyhope Bay via the same route.
- Ride Only Option (123km, 950m) - Ride from Greyhope Bay to the lower control point near Glen Tanar Estate car park (https://what3words.com/perused.dent.educates) then head back to Greyhope Bay via the same route.
