North East Way Tour 2023

About the Event
North East Way Tour (NEWT) is 327km self-support gravel bike packing ride exploring the best gravel routes the north east of Scotland has to offer... and its completely free to take part.
WHEN AND WHERE:
#NEWT takes place on the last weekend in April each year
Start: Friday 28th April, Boxcar Cafe & Skyline Cycles at 14:00hrs sharp (mass start)
Finish: Sunday 30th April, Boxcar Cafe & Skyline Cycles by 19:00hrs
KEY POINTS:
The route is 327km / 203 miles long with 3,150m / 10,334ft elevation (0m min, 560m max)
You should aim to finish by 19:00hrs on the Sunday however feel free to go at your own pace
The route is 70% off road and there are plenty locations perfect for wild camping
The route passes by several shops and water sources to make planning re-stocking easy
The ideal set up is a gravel bike with minimum 40mm+ tyres
ENTRY, TICKETS & ROUTE INTO
It would make our lives much easier if everyone registered for a ticket (its completely free) on our website. Event emails with critical info will only be sent to registered participants so grab a ticket today. Registered participants will be sent a full route descriptor with details of the entire route including GPX file.
